He is an internationally-acknowledged expert on high-potency sweeteners, and a regular speaker and trainer on this topic.

Since its inception in 1997, Connect Consulting has advised many of the world's low-calorie sweetener manufacturers and all the largest user companies. Particularly sought-after are John's insights on the interplay between technical and marketing issues, as well as trouble-shooting, innovation and product development.

Previously, John assisted in the start-up of Holland Sweetener Company and was their Director of Scientific & Technical Services for 9 years. He invented a new class of zero-calorie sweeteners, exemplified by Twinsweet, now enjoying increasing use in both North America and the EU.

John's unique knowledge of all sweeteners stems from more than 20 years of hand-on experience helping every size of user company achieve their market targets.
